Rutland Picnic
Each spring we host an Open House and Picnic. The Open House gives us an opportunity to see old friends and meet new one. It also give us a chance to show off our incredible inventory to customers who normally only know us by voice. To make things more interesting a few years ago we teamed up with the Southeast Region of the Ferrari Club of America and added a Ferrari Parts and Memorabilia Swap Meet. This year we added a Ferrari Concours and a guest speaker.
It is hard to pick a highlight of this year’s event. Over 200 guests from as far away as California wandered through our aisles and Swap Meet looking for a special part or maybe something they didn't even know they wanted. Outside sat an incredible selection of 60+ Ferraris spiffed up for a People’s Choice Concours. The real topper may have been the hour of stories from Speedvision’s F1 announcer, Bob Varsha. Bob gave his take on the 2007 Formula 1 season and entertained questions on racing, the Barrett Jackson auction, and his colorful sidekick David Hobbs. It was a rare opportunity to hear about the business side of Motorsports and Bob didn't disappoint.
Keep watching our site for next year's date. It will be hard to top this year's picnic, but you can be sure we will.
